Each December, we look back with joy at the
accomplishments of the year, in thanksgiving for God’s
provision and guidance, and with gratitude for you, our
family of supporters, sponsors and prayer partners.
This year, as we celebrate the five year anniversary of
the inception of Outreach for World Hope, it is a time
not only of joyful reflection on the lives we have
touched together and the blessings we have shared, but
also of evaluation and discernment as we ask God to lead
us into the future and guide us according to his will.
As you peruse the web site, we hope you will feel
blessed in the knowledge that through your support, you
have saved lives and provided hope through the many
programs described therein. Through trial and error,
research and refinement, we have identified and
developed programs that have proven successful in
providing sustainable support and a brighter future for
those in desperate need of hope. The Nutritional
Enhancement Triad (NET), providing long term food
security for families, and the adult literacy program
are two examples of such programs.
Although many have been saved and given hope, many, many
more are still desperately in need and waiting for a
life line. Our ability to reach them is limited only by
financial restraints. Our goal as a ministry is to
expand these valuable programs to many more villages in
2011 thereby saving more lives, easing more suffering,
and demonstrating God’s love in miraculous ways. In
order to accomplish these goals we will need to increase
our staffing. Providing the adult literacy program in
two more villages will require one additional teacher to
reach 150 more students. Expanding the NET program to 50
additional starving families will require funding for
equipment, seeds, fertilizer, fruit trees, hens and
feed, and an additional agriculture team employee to
facilitate the installation of the food producing
elements, and the support needed to ensure their
success.
For
the past two years we have been blessed to receive a
matching gift which provided for the doubling of your
contributions up to a total gift of $10,000.00. Last
year, the gift was fully realized, thanks to your
generosity, in spite of the state of the U.S. economy!
This year, in celebration of the ministry’s five year
anniversary, the same donor has joyfully offered to
triple every donation received during December to a
maximum matching gift of $20,000.00! This means that,
for example, a $100 donation to provide the NET program
for one family, would actually provide the program for
three families! Your gift will be tripled in value this
year! Please review the web site again and prayerfully
consider how you can play a tangible roll in saving
lives and easing suffering for our brothers and sisters
in Guatemala, and know that God is multiplying the
fishes and the loaves once again.
