Celebrating
Most OWH work projects involve teams of Americans working in cooperation with the village people to build or install the project being funded. At the end of each work activity OWH teams sponsor recreational activities involving the villagers in order to celebrate the relationships formed and the hope given as brotherly love unites strangers of different races from different countries. This can take many forms. Illustrated here are
fiesta celebrations, games with village children, sack
races, piņatas, a school talent show and decoration of a Christmas tree prior to distribution of Christmas presents in a refugee camp in Nicaragua.
